If you are a student author of an accepted CIKM 2022 paper, we encourage you to apply!
To be eligible, the student must: (1) be an author on an accepted paper and (2) be the one presenting the work at the conference.
We will consider students who will be presenting a paper on any of the following tracks: full, applied research, demo, short, resource, and PhD symposium.
To apply for the SIGIR Travel Grant, the student must submit an application AND the academic advisor must submit a statement of support (links provided below).
CIKM 2022 will run as a hybrid conference. The application form will ask whether the student will attend the conference in-person or remotely. If a student is attending in-person and receives a grant, the grant will cover the cost of registration and $1000 for travel and accommodation. If a student is attending remotely and receives a grant, the grant will cover the cost of registration.
These grants are competitive (i.e., not every applicant will receive a grant). We will prioritize applicants who have never received a SIGIR Student Travel Grant, applicants who played an important role in the research being presented, and applicants who have no other source of funding as indicated in the academic advisor’s statement of support.
For enquiries please reach out to cikm22-travelawards@easychair.org
IMPORTANT: If you apply for a grant, DO NOT REGISTER for the conference using your own funds until you hear about outcome of your application. If you receive a grant, you will receive instructions on how to register for free.
*The application and statement of support must be submitted by August 21st (AOE).
